What is CBD?

CBD stands for Cannabidiol, which is an active ingredient found in the plants of the cannabis family.

How does CBD work?

CBD attaches itself to receptors within your body and brain called the endocannabinoid system. When it does this it helps to support the body’s natural systems to create balance.

How do you take CBD oil?

You take it by putting a few drops (or up to a full pipette, depending what you are taking it for) under the tongue and waiting at least 1 minute before swallowing. This way it allows the oil to be  best absorbed into your body.

Will your CBD oil make me high?

No. CBD is found in cannabis but it isn’t the compound that makes you high. The high you get from cannabis is from a substance called THC, which our CBD oils do not contain.

What is the endocannabinoid system?

This is the natural system we have in our bodies which is similar to the nervous system and it is responsible for keeping our bodies in balance. It is involved in a wide range of functions such as regulation of pain, mood, stress, sleep, etc. So, by adding extra CBD we can further help to regulate our bodies and help the endocannabinoid system do its job by restoring harmony.

Does your product contain THC?

All of Camilla Organics products are completely free of THC, so you can’t get high from them.

Can CBD help with my menstrual cramps?

Unfortunately, we are not allowed to make any medical claims about CBD. If you’re looking for information on whether our CBD oil is right for you, take a look at what our satisfied customers are saying about their experiences taking our Woman’s Relief product during their period and how it has helped them.

What does Broad Spectrum mean?

Broad spectrum CBD oils contain several of the cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids that are embedded naturally within the cannabis plants, but without the THC that you find in full spectrum CBD. It’s essentially full spectrum CBD without the THC.

What are terpenes?

Terpenes are natural compounds within cannabis that account for taste and smell as well as having therapeutic benefits. For example, the primary terpenes we use in our Women’s Relief products are limonene, linalool and citral. They give the product a great flavour and are also shown to increase a person’s energy level and stamina. These terpenes help give you a sense of happiness and wellbeing.

The use of CBD, herbs and terpenes have many synergistic effects when used in conjunction with each other. By combining terpenes and cannabinoids such as CBD you create what is known as the entourage effect. In short, the entourage effect is induced when terpenes and cannabinoids are blended together enhancing each other’s effect.

How much CBD should I take?

There isn’t a universally set ‘dose’ of CBD, the amount you’ll need will vary from person to person. We suggest you experiment with what dose is right for you. You can start with a few drops per day and then gradually increase the dosage. For the Women’s Relief product, we suggest taking half to a full pipette when feeling the symptoms of period pain coming on.

How often can I take CBD?

CBD can be taken every day. Some people like to take a few drops spread out over the day while others like to take a bigger dose in one go.
